I finally got around to watching 10 Cloverfield Lane, the sequel of sorts to Cloverfield. The wife and I watched Cloverfield in the cinema and for all the shakey found footage action it was quite good.
Now this is a much more modern slick looking movie about Michelle who is in a car crash and wakes up in a fallout shelter. She is told by the owner Howard that the everyone above ground have been attacked and are probably dead. From there the tensions ramps up between what is more scary, staying in the bunker or going outside.
Actually I really liked the movie and probably more than the first. The original Cloverfield although clever and tense was a spiritual love child of Godzilla and The Blair Witch Project. This movie was a tense psychological drama before running headlong into a slasher pic with War of the Worlds elements.
I have no idea why I wait so long to see it.
